Made Anyone Cry Today?

Inspired by 10 things I hate About You (my favourite film from the first few years of being a teenager), Julia Trotti along with Jessie McNaught and Lidija Jevremovic created a brilliant series of photographs that ooze teenage angst and rebellion. You can check those out here. Above is a video Dan @ i make films created from the shoot which I'm in love with. This is the kind of stuff I want to create, nothing too serious - just fun things to look at. On the same note, how good looking is Loz from The Wolves!

Inspiration//Cass Bird

For my year 12 Art Folio next year, I've decided to go with the theme of youth (typical me). At the moment I'm in research/inspiration finding phase, and I immediately thought of photographer Cass Bird. She has this way of capturing youth in their natural state and looking for the dirty/ugly instead of the typical 'flawless beauty' one thinks of when it comes to the young-ens. Above are some pictures of hers that I thought embody youthfulness. Expect a lot more research to come.

Schiller's

(All images stolen from Russh)
I came across these photographs taken by Ryan Brabazon and felt an instant attraction. The effortless look,  the chilled out vibes and the barren nyc streets make my heart sing. So lovely.

Waiting For Tomorrow To Wake Up

I'm really liking surf & skate culture magazine Monster Children at the moment. I just found this short from their vimeo from 10 months ago and I dig it a lot. It's got babe-town Zippora Seven in it which makes it even better.
Watch it, it's damn cool.

Lucas Grogen

Ok, so I'm totally love in artists Lucas Grogen's work. So totally in love. I first saw his work in Hosier Lane in 2011, now, unfortunately it's been painted over - but that's the reality of the street art world. His work consists (mostly) of the colour blue, cool text and funky drawings. Here some pieces that I've found on his website, and you should go follow his instagram: xlucasgrogan for all the cool shit he does.

Jay Z "Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film"

I love it when musicians break the traditional barriers and showcase their music and make it a form of art. Therefore, Jay Z, I bow down to you for this magical piece of performance art.

The Wolves

So, I just found the coolest agency ever - The Wolves. It's all about finding unique and different people to model instead of the girls that look all the same, a look that people are constantly told to have. The wolves advocates the idea of having quirky, interesting models so if people are still going to look up to models, they're going to at least see that everyone is completely different and to embrace your own interesting traits. Above are just some of the cool talent that I found on the website - and the also have boys (yay). If I end up getting into the fashion/media industry these are the kind of people I want to work with.
